Tom was born in St. Paul. Minnesota was always home for him, from Lake Superior and the Gunflint Trail, to Cannon Falls, where he and Maggie lived and loved together. Along the way he made many friends and contributed in countless ways. Tom was the best company and companion, and the very best memories were made when he was with us, wherever we were.
Missing Tom every minute of every day are his wife, Maggie; daughters Erin, Jill, and Lynn; son-in-law Scott; his grandchildren Ryann and Rowan; and special friends Amos, Stevie, John, Eddie and Dinah.
Tom is now busy catching up with his mom and dad, Lawrence and Clara; fishing with his son Jeff; and swapping jokes with Maggie's dad, Barney. He is also happily reuniting with special friends Gipper, Pepper, Satch and his 28 other four legged friends.

Friends of the Boundary Waters
Leading the effort to protect and restore the BWCAW from such threats is the Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness. The organization formed in 1976 to protect this vulnerable area and two years later shepherded legislation through Congress that brought full protection to the Boundary Waters.
